It could also be caused if drivers either get corrupted or need an update. Try the steps provided below and just exclude those you have already tried and see if it helps you to fix the issue. Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot. Method 2 If issue still persists try to remove all the ghost devices from your computer and then try to use the device.
You may refer to the steps provided below. In the list right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Remove any entries that exist for the keyboard and USB category.

In reply to peterperikow’s post on January 2, My best guess is that I have a corrupted keyboard driver and I can’t find a way of replacing it without access to computer.
